Our In Person Classroom Rules
Our Classroom Rules:
When we feel safe and loved, we can learn.
Our class has rules.
Our teacher wants to keep us safe and help us learn.
1.Listen when someone is speaking.
2. Raise your hand to speak.
3. Follow directions quickly.
4. Keep your hands, feet and objects to yourself.
5. Be a caring friend.
6. Always do your BEST work!
Our classroom rules reflect the school wide expectations of being respectful, responsible, and peaceful.
We have already made good choices this year! Each child has a colored magnet hanging along a number line in our classroom. The magnet can move up the number line reinforcing positive behavior in our very own classroom. Students will begin on the #3 so that they can move forward or backward. When students reach the #10, they will receive an incentive or prize. They then start at the #3 again. The goal is for students to always be striving to reach the #10.
On the other hand, if a student chooses to break a rule, the magnet will be moved back one number. If a child displays continuous ill behavior and the bean reaches #0, a parent or guardian will be notified. It is in your child’s best interest that we work together with regard to his/her education. If the magnet is continuously being moved in the negative direction for the same reason, I will be working out a separate, individualized plan with your child to help correct the behavior.
I have also included many ways to positively reinforce students who behave appropriately such as rewards, special privileges, etc. Please discuss our classroom expectations with your child.
Thank you for your support.
Respectfully,
Mrs. Adamowski ☺
